Recognizing the needs of each child and believing all children can learn, the mission of Glenview School District 34 is to empower children to be responsible learners and decision makers in a changing society.

History

District 34 has a rich history as a high achieving school district that has provided a quality education for students with roots hat stretch to the 1840s.

Since its was founded, this community has always supported education. As the community grew, school construction, staffing and quality programs became a priority. Glenview families were willing to invest in their children through volunteering in the schools, supporting the hiring of outstanding teachers and administrators and passing bond issues necessary to build schools.

In 2003, former teacher Mark Dlatt compiled a history of District 34. If you are interested in reading the publication, it is available as a PDF.
