A full continuum of services
is available to meet the needs of School District 34 students between the ages of 3 through 8th grade. This site provides information concerning those programs.
STUDENT RECORDS
Requests for student records should be directed to the school a student attends.
If a student moved out of district or graduated from Glenview School District 34, requests for student records should be directed to the Student Services Department in the School District 34 Administration Building. You can contact the Students Services Department at 847-998-5015.
To request student records, an "Authorizatiion For Release of Information" form must be completed. It may be hand delivered, mailed or faxed to the district.

Kohl Children’s Museum is offering free tickets to children with special needs and their siblings aged eight or younger and other family members. The tickets are for May 20th from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. only. Each child and adult must have a ticket. Email your ticket request to mades@nssed.org and the tickets will be mailed to your home. at the NSSED Technology Center
(located in the Safari Childcare building),
776 Red Oak Lane, Highland Park, Illinois.
Come to learn about the basic components of an Individual Education Plan (IEP) document,
the identification and referral process if you are concerned your child may need additional
support and how to effectively participate as a member of the school educational team.

Understanding Depression and Enhancing Emotional Wellbeing in Children
and Adolescents: What Parents Need to Know
Northern Suburban Special Education District’s Association of Parents and Staff presents “Understanding Depression and Enhancing Emotional Wellbeing in Children and Adolescents: What Parents Need to Know”
on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Techny Towers Conference
and Retreat Center, 2001 Waukegan Road, Room 408, Techny. The building is located
on the east side of Waukegan Road between Dundee and Willow Roads and looks like a castle.
Ms. Peggy Kubert, the Executive Director of Erika’s Lighthouse, will be presenting information regarding the signs and symptoms of depression, what parents need to look for in their children, the pathways to finding
the right type of help and support, and how to talk to your child about depression. She will also be
addressing the importance of caring for your own emotional well being and how we can
encourage and support good mental health for all of our children.
