Budget Information

The Board of Education approves a yearly budget for District 34 after a stringent development and review process that takes about a year and complies with all state, regional and local guidelines. Additionally, the District has an independent auditing firm review its financials every year and that report is provided to the Board of Education and community.

The District is proud of its financial health and stability. This is evidenced by both Moody’s Financial Service as well as Standard and Poor’s have bestowed the District with the highest bond rating possible (Aaa).  This is a high honor for our fiscal responsibility given less than 1% of districts in the state have earned this rating.  Additionally, the District consistently earns state awards for its financial management.

The District also produces a "Budget Guide for the Community" to explain how the District's finances work. Anyone interested in receiving the printed version can contact the Community Relations Office at 847-486-7861 or bclark@glenview34.org.

The Board typically approves the annual budget in October for a budget cycle that runs from July 1 to June 30. A copy of the full budget can be reviewed at the Glenview Public Library or obtained by requesting a copy through the District 34 Business Office at 847-998-5065.
