The Debra Gelfand Fund was established in memory of Debra Gelfand, the mother of six sons, who was an active parent volunteer in Glenview District 34. She had a strong belief that parents should be involved in school activities. Debra provided many gifts and monetary contributions to the schools and gave countless hours of her time to the District. She died on July 4, 1990 at the age of 37 from cancer. This fund was established in Debra’s memory to carry on her belief that it is important to help families in need.

The Debra Gelfand Fund is a perfect way to make the holidays or any celebration memorable. You might consider a donation in someone's honor. Donation cards are also available to contribute to the fund in someone's honor or in memory of someone throughout the year. Simply indicate the amount you would like to donate and the person being honored and stop by your school office or see your school Social Worker to pick up the card (shown below).
