District 34 offers both a gifted and an enrichment program for students. The enrichment program is provided for students K-2 in several ways, including consultation, collaboration and classroom instruction by the part-time gifted enrichment teacher.

In the latter portion of 3rd grade, students are considered for eligibility in the gifted program. Following an eligibility process, students qualifying for the program are placed into the following groups:

• 3% of students receive direct and consistent services by the Gifted/Enrichment teacher
• 4-15% of students also receive occasional pull-out services or are provided service in the classroom
