The Northern Suburban Special Education District (NSSED) is a special education cooperative in the northern suburbs that includes 16 elementary and four high school districts. As one of the participating districts, District 34 special education students receive services from NSSED staff as needed.

There are more than 30 NSSED staff members working in District 34 schools, providing service and teaching students with special needs.
