Feelings Wheel
Remind yourself that your feelings are valid. When you validate someone's emotions, you are showing that you care about and accept them for who they are, but it is just as important for you to do this for yourself. Typically, we check on those around us, but forget ourselves.
Doing an emotional check in with yourself means carving out time to ask, "How am I doing?" In this space, you can name and explore your emotions, gauge your physical and emotional needs, and make an intentional plan on how to address these needs moving forward. A great tool in naming your emotions can be a Feelings Wheel.
