Building Future 2020 Facility Plans and Referendum

District 34 spent more than two years developing a Long Range Master Facility Plan that addresses educational and facility needs at the District’s eight schools. The Board of Education unanimously approved placing a referendum question on the March 17, 2020, ballot seeking taxpayer approval to issue $119 million dollars in bonds to renovate, repair, and modernize all schools.  Improving safety and security, performing critical maintenance, upgrading science labs, making ADA accessibility improvements, and creating space for Full-Day Kindergarten are cornerstones of the plan.
