Q: How do I request homework information during my student’s absence?
- A student must be absent for at least 2 days before requesting that the teacher assemble homework.
- Students should utilize the team/classroom websites, contact a “homework buddy,” or use the other methods teachers have identified to access homework information to find out about missed assignments for an absence of only 1 day.
- For an absence of a week or more: a request must be submitted at least a week before the homework is needed. Parents should be aware that not all schoolwork may be made up independently; students may need to meet with teachers for additional “catch-up,” to take missed tests/quizzes, or to do project work.
- For any long-term absence due to illness (at least 10 days), homebound instruction may be arranged through the Student Services Administrator.
