- When a student is ill and will not be present at school, a parent must phone the Health Coordinator at 847-657-2394 by 7:30 a.m. EACH day of the absence.
- When leaving a message on the answering machine, the student’s parents should leave the student’s name, teacher’s name and reason for absence.
- If a parent notifies the student’s teachers about an upcoming absence, the parent must also call the health office with the same information. If you do not report your child’s absence within the first hour of school, the nurse will contact your home.
- Pupil appointments (medical, dental, etc.) and family vacations should be scheduled when school is not in session whenever possible.
