Elections for three of the seven School District 34 Board Member positions will take place in the spring of 2021, with Election Day on April 6, 2021. Candidates who wish to run for the Board must file nominating petitions and Statements of Economic Interests between December 14 and December 21, 2020.
The District 34 Board of Education and administration will host a virtual prospective board member workshop on October 21 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. The meeting, led by two current board members and Superintendent Dr. Dane Delli, will cover:
- An overview of District 34: who we are and what’s ahead
- Role of the Board and the role of a Board Member
- Commitment and expectations of a Board Member
- Eligibility requirements and process steps
All residents of the District (including those without children in D34 schools) are welcome. There is no commitment to run if you do attend, and there is no requirement to attend the workshop in order to run.
