Interested in Becoming a D34 Board of Education Member?

Elections for four of the seven School District 34  Board Member positions will take place in the spring of 2023, with Election Day on April 4, 2023. Candidates who wish to run for the Board must file nominating petitions and Statements of Economic Interests with the Cook County Clerk between December 12 and December 19, 2022.

The District 34 Board of Education and administration will host a virtual prospective school board member workshop on October 10 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. The meeting, led by two current board members and Superintendent Dr. Dane Delli, will cover:

  • An overview of District 34: who we are and what’s ahead

  • Role of the Board and the role of a Board Member

  • Commitment and expectations of a Board Member

  • Eligibility requirements and process steps

There will be time for questions and answers. All residents of the District (including those without children in D34 schools) are welcome. There is no commitment to run if you do attend, and there is no requirement to attend the workshop in order to run!

Please click here to register for the Zoom webinar. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions to join the meeting. Interpretation in Spanish, Mongolian and/or Korean will be provided upon request; please email Cathy Kedjidjian. The program will be recorded.
