Business Services
The Business Services team serves the Glenview School District 34 community through the management of the district’s finances and operations including accounting, long-term financial planning, purchasing, payroll, risk management, facilities, pupil transportation and food services.
Goals and Commitment
The goal of Business Services is to provide the resources needed to support the advancement of student achievement and success with fiscal responsibility.
District 34 is dedicated to establishing, maintaining and improving educational programs within the funds provided by taxes and other sources. The District is committed to continuous improvement of all components of the educational organization and to long term financial health through comprehensive multi-year planning. This multifaceted approach includes increasing revenues and controlling expenditures.

Budget and Other Financial Information
District 34 has earned the highest rating possible (Aaa) from Moody’s Financial Services every year for the past several years. The District also consistently earns state awards for its financial management.
The Board of Education approves a yearly budget after a stringent development and review process that complies with all state, regional and local guidelines. The Board typically approves the annual budget in September for a budget cycle that runs from July 1 to June 30. A copy of the full budget can be reviewed at the District 34 offices or obtained by requesting a copy through the District 34 Business Office at 847-998-5063.
The District has an independent auditing firm review its financials every year; that report is provided to the Board of Education and community.
