District 34 and its schools’ social media pages inform parents, staff, and community members about our achievements, events and activities and to make it easy for our community to connect with the District, our schools and individual classrooms.
Information posted from the District and schools will be direct, open and honest; we hope comments posted on the page will be respectful, factual and constructive. We encourage parents, staff and community members to engage in productive conversations on our social media channels. We ask that you adhere to the following Terms of Use when commenting:
- Be courteous, productive, and exercise a mutual respect for others’ opinions. Avoid comments that are profane, offensive, defamatory, intimidating, inappropriate, misleading, discriminatory or otherwise objectionable.
- Do not post personal information of any person other than yourself. If you choose to post your own contact information for any reason, please be aware that the information will be available to the public and is, therefore, subject to misuse.
- Assume that all postings on the page will be publicly available on the Internet and, therefore, publicly accessible without limitation or protection of any kind.
- Do not post comments that are off-topic.
- Do not post unauthorized commercial solicitations.
- Do not post the same comment multiple times, or otherwise distribute spam.
By posting or commenting as described above, users give Glenview School District 34 the right to remove comments that violate the Terms of Use. Comments also are subject to the Terms of Use of the social media channels (Twitter and Facebook). If more than one post by the same individual must be deleted, the District and schools reserve the right to block that individual from the page.
We comply with all federal and state regulations regarding the online safety and privacy of minors. The District and schools do not post names of students on social media, unless they are receiving a significant award, honor or recognition. We ask visitors to refrain from identifying individual students when posting to our page. We will not knowingly post, solicit, or communicate in any way through our social media channels with children under the age of 13.
