Fine Arts Program
The Fine Arts program of District 34 is a high quality educational program for students in grades K-8 that develops the whole-child through an arts curriculum that includes courses in General Music, Visual Art, Drama, and Instrumental Music. We aim to develop a lifelong appreciation of the arts in our students that will carry them into their futures as musicians and artists themselves, or as connoisseurs of the arts.
Our vision includes the belief that:
- A strong academic program unlocks and supports the artistic potential of our students.
- The performing and fine arts encourage each individual to work in a creative and collaborative manner while supporting independent thinking.
- Through both the creative and reflective learning process, students gain greater capacity to question, interpret, and influence their own lives. (NAFME.org)
