Food Services is making meals for all students in need.  Pick up is at Springman Middle School, every Monday between 9:00am and 1:00pm.  If you are unable to pick up meals, your friend, neighbor or relative can do so.  If you are unable to find someone to pick up, please click this link:

Want a great job working with kids? Want to work the same days your kids attend school?  Want a job where you have summers off?  District 34 Food Service is looking for energetic, flexible and dependable candidates who can work in a fast-paced environment, use a computer, and have great customer service skills.  Candidates should be willing to be trained on all aspects of our kitchens including cooking, prepping food, cashiering and dishwashing.  Must be able to lift 36 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds, reach and stoop, climb ladders, and be on your feet for several hours per day.  Hours range with the job assignment, but start no earlier than 7:00 am ( and could start at 8:00 am, 9:00 am or 10:15 am) and all jobs end no later than 1:30 pm.   We are currently looking to fill part time and substitute cook positions for the 2020-21 school year.   Part time cooks work approximately 3.5 hours each day school is in session and start no earlier than 9:00 am.  Substitute cooks work on an as-needed basis and the position is very flexible.  Substitute cooks can ask not to be scheduled on certain days if you can't work or ask to be scheduled after a certain time of day.  Our work schedule follows student attendance days.  Sanitation certification required within six months of employment commencement.  Direct questions to Kimberly Cleveland, Director of Food Services  at

The district Food Services Program is run by employees of the district, not a contracted catering company. We are proud of the fact that we are an independently run operation. Most of the foodservice staff have been with the district for many years and are community members. All of the staff members are dedicated to making sure your child has a nutritious and pleasant lunch experience.

The District Food Service Program is part of the federal government’s National School Lunch Program. By following the guidelines of this program, we are able to provide meals to all children, including providing assistance to low-income families through the free/reduced breakfast/lunch program. We in the Food Service Department strive to provide nutritious meals to all students.

Meal Debit Cards

The lunch ID works like a debit card so funds must be deposited prior to use.  Parents can add funds online and check the balance of an account by using the links below.  To pay by check please send with your child to school in an envelope marked with your child's name and account number (ID number).  As a courtesy, low balance notifications are sent out through an email alert.  Accounts are carried over from one year to the next and from school to school.  8th-grade lunch balances in the amount of more than $10.00 are refunded or transferred to a sibling.  If you have any questions, please contact us at:
