Board of Education Seated; New Members Take Office
On April 29, 2019, the new District 34 Board of Education took the oath of office. In April’s election, four seats on the Board were open. Two incumbents, John Heggie and Natalie Jachtorowycz, were re-elected, and two new members, Michael Korman and Scott Nelson, were elected. Mrs. Jachtorowycz was elected president of the Board and Jim Baumstark was elected vice president by their fellow members. You can read the biographies of all members on the Board of Education page of the website.
It was the final meeting for Sam Ach and Jackie Lutz, both of whom had served two terms on the Board and had chosen not to run for re-election.
