Per Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker's orders, all schools remain closed for onsite learning through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. E-Learning Days will be in session.
Governor Orders Illinois Schools Closed for Onsite Learning Through April
On Tuesday, March 31, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker announced the extension of the state’s stay-at-home order, and the closing of all schools for onsite learning through April 30, 2020.
Therefore, District 34 buildings will be closed until at least May 1. However, teaching and learning will continue on our E-Learning Days. District 34 leadership and the E-Learning Team have been planning for this decision and preparing to support staff, students and families during additional E-Learning Days. We soon will share information with you about adjustments in school day schedules, opportunities for greater real-time connections between students and their teachers and peers.The District will continue to provide meals to students while schools are closed. The next distribution will take place the week of April 13.
