Math Task Force Begins Work, Communication a Key Component

Following several months of carefully recruiting critical representatives from various stakeholder groups, the Superintendent Math Task Force charged with evaluating the district's current math placement process held its first meeting last week.
The committee is representative of key stakeholders including staff from District 34 and Glenbrook District 225, a member from the District 34 Board of Education, and parents. For more information on the members and the official charge of the committee, please click here.
In an effort to continually update the community with information about the task force, the district will, within 24 hours of each meeting, post talking points to the district website. We encourage parents to visit the "Advanced and Accelerated Math" section of the district website to find this information.  The district will also provide updates as needed in the monthly parent newsletter.
Please know that once the task force has reached a recommendation, the district will share with the community well in advance when that recommendation will be going to the Board of Education for consideration. We understand the community's investment in this issue, and we value your interest.
