Per Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker's orders, all schools remain closed for onsite learning through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. E-Learning Days will be in session.
All Illinois children in kindergarten and 6th grade, or upon first entry into an Illinois school beyond kindergarten, are required to have an eye examination.
- Illinois law requires that an eye exam must be completed by an optometrist, or physician licensed to provide eye exams. The state vision form must be signed and dated by the optometrist or licensed physician.
- Vision exams should be submitted to the school no later than October 15 of the year the child is first enrolled. The exam must be completed within one year prior to the child beginning school.
